Mens Soccer- The Chargers had a great week by winning the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Title (CACC). DC defeated #3 Nyack 5-0 on 11/3 in the semis behind the stellar play of senior Kyle Clancy who had four goals. Brother Ryan Clancy had one goal and one assist, while Brent Gaylord contributed three assists. In the tournament final against Caldwell College, Dominican came away with a 1-0 win behind another game winning goal by Kyle Clancy off the double dish by Ryan Clancy and sophomore Diego Miranda. Kyle Clancy was named MVP of the tournament, along with a place on the All-Tournament Team. Teammates Ryan Clancy, Brent Gaylord, Scott Silvia, and Tom Rolston were named to the All-Tournament Team as well. On Monday 11/3, the conference office released the All-Conference Team which featured five Chargers. Senior Kyle Clancy was named the CACC Player of the Year for the second straight year and was named to the All-CACC First Team. Joining him was brother Ryan Clancy, Tom Rolston, Brent Gaylord, and Robert Kelly. First year coach, John Campbell, was named CACC Coach of the Year and sophomore Jhonny Arteaga was named to the Second Team. This is the third CACC Tournament Championship in three years for the Chargers and the team extended their winning streak to seventeen games. DC is currently ranked #1 in their Region and 7th in the nation and is awaiting a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Womens Soccer-The Lady Chargers posted a 0-1 record this week. On 10/31 the #4 Lady Chargers suffered a tough season ending loss to #5 Wilmington College, 3-2 in the quarter-finals of the CACC Tournament. Goals were netted by Marie LaMaida and Angela Correia. DC wrapped up their season with a 6-11-2 record and a CACC record of 5-4-2. Freshman Correia was named CACC Rookie of the Year, finishing the year with seven goals and six assists. All-CACC First Team honors went to sophomore Jen Ditzig, while junior Stacey Ryan received All-CACC Honorable Mention honors.

Womens Volleyball- The womens volleyball team went 1-2 this week to finish up the 2005 season. The Lady Chargers posted a 8-18 overall record and a CACC record of 7-15. On 11/2 the DC was defeated by Philadelphia University, 1-3. Kinikia Collier led the team with 11 kills, while Theresa Hanneman had seven kills. Setter Megan Earl had 30 assists. On 11/5, the team traveled to Bloomfield College for a conference tri-match against Georgian Court University and Bloomfield. Dominican came up with a big win against GCU, 3-1 behind great play by Collier who had a double-double with 13 kills and 23 digs. Jessica Zanotti had six kills and Tara Leahy had five kills in the win. Earl had 26 assists. Against Bloomfield, in a 0-3 loss, Collier once again led the team with six kills, while Hanneman and Zanotti had five kills a piece. Earl had 21 assists.
