WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL LOSE TO DOWLING COLLEGE

Easton, Mass. (9/11/15) The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost a non-conference match to Dowling College in their first match of the Stonehill Skyhawks Invitational. The Lady Chargers fell to the Golden Lions by the score of 3-0 (15-25, 14-25, 23-25) to drop to 0-6 on the season.

Easton, Mass. (9/11/15)  The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost a non-conference match to Dowling College in their first match of the Stonehill Skyhawks Invitational.  The Lady Chargers fell to the Golden Lions by the score of 3-0 (15-25, 14-25, 23-25) to drop to 0-6 on the season.

Junior Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) and outside hitter Kelly Murphy (Evergreen, Colo.) each led the Lady Chargers with eight kills a-piece and combined for 13 defensive digs.

Setter Amanda Hallstein* (Holtsville, N.Y.) had a team leading 21 assists, while libero Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) had 18 defensive digs.

Dowling took the first two sets by the scores of 25-14 and 25-15 for a commanding 2-0 match lead.  The Lady Chargers were edged 25-23 in the decisive third set in the 3-0 loss.

The Lady Chargers will take on Gannon and host Stonehill College tomorrow in Merkert Gymnasium.
