New Haven, Conn. (6/26/26) Sixty-three student-athletes have qualified for the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, CACC Commissioner Dan Mara announced yesterday.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also either compete in at least two-thirds of their team's games or start at least half.
CACC champion Wilmington University topped the conference with 10 honorees. Georgian Court University placed eight players on the list. The complete set of winners can be viewed at the link above.
Allison Schiavone of Wilmington owns a perfect 4.00 GPA. She heads a group of 13 student-athletes on the list who maintain an undergraduate GPA of 3.90 or higher.
Dominican University New York had seven players named to the team: Angelina DeAmicis, Madelyn Grella, Gianna Longobucco, Madison Mileti, Emily Murtha, Alexa Preston and Emily Sheridan.
The CACC All-Academic Team was instituted during the 2004-05 academic year. Women's lacrosse became a conference championship sport in 2009.
