LADY CHARGERS OPEN CONFERENCE PLAY WITH WIN OVER CHESTNUT HILL
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/21/26) The #19/20 women's lacrosse team opened conference play this afternoon with a win over the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College on O'Brien Field.
The Lady Chargers win their second straight game and improve to 4-3 overall and 1-0 in the CACC. The Griffins fall to 4-2 overall and 0-1 in the CACC.
Lady Charger goalkeeper Daniela Parisi made three saves in 45:00 of game action while picking up the win. Dynastee Ramos and Sofia Merten each saw action in net in the fourth quarter. Ramos picked up one save.
CHC goalkeeper made 15 saves but suffered the loss.
Dominican held a 4-1 lead after the first quarter. The Lady Charger offense caught fire in the second quarter score 10 times for the 14-2 lead by half. Dominican added four goals in the third quarter and three in the fourth quarter on their way to the 21-2 victory.
Alexa Preston led the way with the Lady Chargers with a team-high six goals while picking up one assist and two groundballs. Camryn Grella scored four goals while adding one groundball and four draw controls.
Madelyn Grella scored three goals and dished out three assists. Madison Mileti filled the stat sheet with two goals while adding a team-high six assists and six groundballs, also a team-high. Mileti also added two draw controls.
Rylie McGhan scored two goals while Addison Sullivan, Amy Welsh, Leila Paz, and Kate Frae each found the back of the net once. Frae also added three assists.
Emily Murtha and Jenna Rigo each recorded two caused turnovers and two groundballs.
The Lady Chargers return to action tomorrow afternoon when they host Roberts Wesleyan University at 12:00 PM.
