LADY CHARGERS FALL IN CACC ACTION TO TIGERS
Philadelphia, Pa. (1/24/26) The Dominican University New York women's basketball team fell to the Tigers of Holy Family University in a conference match up at the Campus Center.
With the loss, the Lady Chargers fall to 5-14 overall and 3-8 in the CACC. The Tigers improve to 15-3 overall and stay unbeaten in conference play at 10-0.
The Tigers had a strong first half putting up 44 points and held a 44-22 lead by halftime.
The Tigers extended to their largest lead of the game in the second half and rolled to the 74-52 victory.
Freshman Ketura Rutty scored a team-high 14 points while also providing four rebounds, one assist, and two steals. Junior guard Isabella Javier added 11 points while pulling down three boards and dished out a shared team-high four assists.
Junior Tamia Nunes had a team-high 10 boards while also adding four assists and a team-high three takeaways. Nunes and freshman Sky Priester each scored six points. Priester also picked up four rebounds and two assists.
Senior Cayla Howard finished with seven points and three boards.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back next Saturday when they visit Goldey-Beacom College.
