Philadelphia, Pa. (1/17/26) The Dominican University New York women's basketball team lost to the Rams of Thomas Jefferson University, 61-44, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played in the Gallagher Athletic, Recreation and Convocation Center.
With the loss, the Lady Chargers are now 5-12 overall and 3-6 in conference play.
Senior guard Cayla Howard had a team leading 23 points and nine rebounds, while adding two assists and two steals.
Tamia Nunes recorded the teams only double-double with 12 points and a game best 14 rebounds (12 on the defensive end).
As a team, the Lady Chargers shot 33.3% (17-51) from the floor, 12.5% (3-24) from the three-point arc and 50% (7-14) from the charity stripe.
Dominican returns to action on January 20th when they travel to conference foe, Post University.
