LADY CHARGERS FALL TO GOLDEN FALCONS

Orangeburg, N.Y. (1/6/26) The Dominican University New York women's basketball team fell to the Golden Falcons of Felician University in CACC action at the Hennessy Center. 

After the loss, the Lady Chargers fall to 4-9 overall and 2-4 in conference play. The Golden Falcons improve to 11-2 overall and 6-0 in the CACC.

Felician had a strong first half scoring 21 points in each of the first two quarters. Dominican finished the first half on an 11-6 run. The Golden Falcons maintained their double digit lead into the second half and secured the win. 

Senior Cayla Howard led the way for DU with 15 points which included 8-9 from the charity stripe. Howard added a team-high five boards and dished out three assists. 

Freshmen Brianna Pope and Ketura Rutty provided a combined 15 points off the bench. Rutty also picked up four boards and two steals. Senior Dalana Taylor added eight points. 

DU returns to action on Thursday when they take on Mercy University at 5:00 PM.
