FDU RALLIES TO DEFEAT CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/13/26) The Dominican University New York men's volleyball team returned to action tonight in the Hennessy Center and fell to the visiting Knights of FDU, 3-1 on Coach Baxter Court.
After the loss, the Chargers are now 3-9 on the season. Dominican claimed the first set 28-26, while FDU went on to take the next three by scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-18.
Dominican trailed 22-19 in the first set when junior Ayden Shaw served for five straight points, including a service ace to jump ahead, 23-22. From there the teams would trade points untio the score was tied at 26-all. Shaw recorded back-to-back kills off assists from Jaiden Wilcox to take the first set, 28-26.
The Knights rallied to take the next three sets for the 3-1 victory.
Shaw and junior Phinehas Wiley both led the Chargers with 13 kills a-piece in the loss, with Shaw adding a .321 attack percentage, four service aces and two block assists.
Junior Tommaso Falchi added five kills, while Alejandro Miranda recorded nine digs.
Setter Wilcox finished with 20 assists and Seth Terry had nine assists.
Dominican returns to action on February 20th when they travel to Daemen University.
