Lafayette Hill, Pa. (9/24/22) The Dominican University New York men's soccer team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to host, Chestnut Hill College, 4-3, this evening in a game played on Victory Field #1.

Lafayette Hill, Pa. (9/24/22) The Dominican University New York men's soccer team dropped a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game to host, Chestnut Hill College, 4-3, this evening in a game played on Victory Field #1.

With the loss Dominican is now 1-5-3 overall and 0-4-1 in conference play.

The Griffins got on the scoreboard about five and a half minutes into the contest, but Dominican countered with a goal at 7:57 by Maximino Casares Martinez (Valladolid, Spain) of the dish from Jacob Owen (Middlesbrough, England).

CHC retook the lead in the 19th minute with a goal and extended the lead to 3-1 in the 30th minute.

Chestnut Hill added to the lead in the 48th minute of action to make the score 4-1.

The Chargers broke the CHC scoring run at 74:56 when Gianni Ramirez-Downes (Ossining, N.Y.) recorded a goal to cut the deficit to 4-2.

Dominican made the score 4-3 at 88:06 when Ewan Gray (Middlesbrough, England) scored a goal off the assist by Downes.

Up next for the Chargers is a road contest at Alliance University this coming Wednesday.
