DOMINICAN DUO NAMED TO UNITED SOCCER COACHES ALL-REGION TEAMS

Orangeburg, N.Y. (12/17/21) Dominican College men's soccer players, Antonio Zhu Sanchez and Maximino Casares Martinez have been named to the 2021 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams as was recently announced by the organization.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (12/17/21) Dominican College men's soccer players, Antonio Zhu Sanchez and Maximino Casares Martinez have been named to the 2021 United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams as was recently announced by the organization.

For both players, this is their first United Soccer Coaches All-Region accolades.

Sanchez, a midfielder/defender was named to the All-Region Second Team.  He was previously named to the All-District® First Team, the All-CACC First Team and the D2CCA East All-Region Second Team.  The three-year team captain previously earned two CACC Defensive Player of the Week accolades and was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll once this season.

Martinez, a midfider earned Third Team honors.  He was previously named to the All-CACC Second Team, the CACC All-Tournament Team and the D2CCA East All-Regio Second Team..  Martinez led the team in assists and was third in goals.  He ranked sixth in the CACC in assists, 11th in points and 15th in goals scored.
