Philadelphi, Pa. (4/5/25) The Dominican University New York men's lacrosse team fell in conference action to the Tigers of Holy Family University.
The Tigers outscored the Chargers 9-1 in the second half to secure the 14-4 victory.
Dominican falls to 3-8 overall and 1-4 in conference play while the Tigers improve to 8-5 overall and 2-3 in the CACC.
Both teams scored one goal in the opening quarter and then HFU scored four times in the second while DU scored twice as the Tigers took a 5-3 lead into halftime.
The Tigers outscored the Chargers 5-1 in the third quarter and added four more goals in the fourth quarter on their way to the 14-4 win.
The Chargers had goals by Zamar Faith, Ryan Gonzalez, Nickolas Paletta, and Jack Sherry. Zachary Souza picked up two assists while Steven Dupras added one assist.
Faceoff man Josh Wesneski went 13-20 on faceoffs and led the Chargers in ground balls with seven. Jordan Scott picked up five ground balls and caused four turnovers.
Ryan Gonzalez and Michael Chies each added four ground balls. Starting goalkeeper Kyle Janks made 10 saves but suffered the loss. Bryce Layton entered the game late and made one save.
The Chargers return to action on Wednesday, April 16th when they host the Lions of Georgian Court University on O'Brien Field.
