STRONG THIRD QUARTER LEADS EAGLES OVER CHARGERS LACROSSE
Waterbury, Conn. (3/18/16) The Post University men's lacrosse team scored eight goals in the third quarter to lead them to an 15-11 non-conference victory over the visiting Chargers of Dominican College in a game played at LaMoy Field.

Post scored the first two goals of the game for the 2-0 advantage, but freshman midfielder David Arent (Huntington Beach, Calif.) broke the run with an unassisted goal with 4:31 left in the quarter. Following an Eagle score, rookie Blake Israel (Parkland, Fla.) scored his first game goal off the assist from Aaron Yulfo (Shirley, N.Y.) to cut the lead to 3-2.
Dominican opened the second quarter scoring as sophomore Ryan Wiberly (Setauket, N.Y.) netted a goal off the dish from Conor Reeves* (Tappan, N.Y.) to even things at 3-all with 9:02 remaining before the break.
Back-to-back goals from Post regained a 5-3 lead, but Yulfo made the score 5-4 with his second game goal of the pass from Arent. Later Yulfo would complete the hat trick with his third game goal off the assist from Kevin Mayer* (Wantagh, N.Y.) to make the score 6-5 at the half.
The lone goal of the third frame for the Chargers came with 2:50 remaining in the quarter off the stick of Israel.
DC outscored the Eagles 5-1 in the final quarter for the final 15-11 score. The Chargers started the quarter off on a 3-0 run with goals from Ryan Ward (Galloway, N.J.), Michael Sciulli (Bethpage, N.Y.) and Mayer to cut the deficit to 14-9. After a team goal for Post, Yulfo and Reeves ended the game with goals for the final 15-11 score.
Yulfo finished with three goals and one assists, while Israel had two goals.
Reeves had one goal and two assists.
Joseph Fabiilli (Glen Head, N.Y.) made 10 saves in 38:30, while Carlos Villaman (Montgomery, N.Y.) had four saves in 21:30.
With the loss, Dominican falls to 3-5 on the season.
Dominican returns to action next Thursday as they travel to LIU Post.
