DOMINICAN CHARGES PAST LIGHTNING IN DANIEL SULLIVAN MEMORIAL GAME
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/30/25) The #20 Dominican University New York men's basketball team charged past the visiting Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College, 105-85, this afternoon in the 13th Annual Daniel Sullivan Memorial Game played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
With the win, Dominican improves to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.
GBC led 12-6 with 15:43 remaining in the first half when the Chargers scored 11 straight points to jump ahead 17-12. The Lightning would rally twice in the last 12 minutes of the half to tie the score, 40-40 at the intermission.
With 15:55 to play and with the slim 52-50 advantage, Dominican went on a 13-0 tear to increase the lead to 65-50 and would never look back en route to the 30-point victory.
Senior Koi D. Kirk. Jr. led all scorers with a career high 27 points and completed the double-double with a team high 13 rebounds.
Chance Morrish came off the bench to score 17 points, six rebounds, four assists and five steals. Elijah Peters recorded 16 points, while Javel Cherry added 13 points and four caroms.
Senior Isaiah Honis scored eight points and Key'Sean Maynard tallied five assists, five steals and four rebounds. Reginald Dillard dished out five assists.
The Chargers return to action on Wednesday, December 3rd when they host Millersville University. Game time is set for 6pm on Coach Baxter Court.
