GRACI NAMED TO CACC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/10/16) Dominican College women's cross country runner, Jessica Graci, has been named to the 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team, as announced today by Commissioner Dan Mara.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/10/16) Dominican College women's cross country runner, Jessica Graci, has been named to the 2016 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team, as announced today by Commissioner Dan Mara.
Graci, a sophomore from Staten Island, N.Y., makes her first appearance on the All-Academic Team. She sports a 3.52 gpa and is majoring in Accounting.
In order to be named to the CACC Women's Cross Country All-Academic Team, recipients be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher through the spring or summer semester of 2016.
University of the Sciences' Emily Brand was the lone student-athlete on the list to own a perfect 4.0 GPA, while two other student-athletes earned 3.90 or higher marks including USciences' Samantha Frear (3.92) and Philadelphia University's Maria Santangelo (3.90).
PhilaU led the way with nine student-athletes being placed on the All-Academic Team, led by Santangelo's high mark. USciences was next with four honorees, while Chestnut Hill College, Georgian Court University, Nyack College and Wilmington University had three selections each. Goldey-Beacom College had a pair of honorees, while Dominican College, Felician University and Post University had one each.
Six student-athletes were named to the All-Academic Team for a third time in their career, while seven others were placed on the squad for the second time.
The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference is an NCAA Division II Conference composed of 14 institutions in Connecticut, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The member institutions are Bloomfield College, Caldwell University, Chestnut Hill College, Concordia (N.Y.) College, Dominican (N.Y.) College, Felician College, Georgian Court University, Goldey-Beacom College, Holy Family University, Nyack College, Philadelphia University, Post University of Waterbury, University of the Sciences, and Wilmington University.
