Bio

Coach Altro enters his fourth season at the helm of the Lady Charger Volleyball program.

Coach Altro has over 25 years of coaching experience at the club, high school and collegiate level in the sport of volleyball.  His most recent collegiate coaching was at Pace University where he spent six seasons at the helm of the Setters.  In his time at Pace, the Setters made five conference championship appearances.

Prior to Pace, he has also served as the head coach at Western Connecticut State University and New York City Technical College.

Coach Altro also has high school coaching experience as he had a stint at Carmel High School.

Coach Altro is also well known among the club ranks as he has been the director and head coach of the Downstate Juniors Volleyball Club for over 20 years.  In this time he has coached numerous players that have gone on to play collegiate volleyball and receive All-American and Player of the Year honors.

He is also the head coach of the Hudson Valley Regional team that competes in the Empire State Games.

Coach Altro is a 1989 graduate of the University of Western Florida and is currently a computer system engineer with Metro North Railroad.
