LADY CHARGERS SWEEP GOLDEN FALCONS, EARN SEASON SERIES SPLIT
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/6/25) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team defeated the Felician University Golden Falcons in a CACC north division battle on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
Dominican swept the Golden Falcons in three sets to earn a split of the season series and improve to 7-13 overall and 4-7 in conference play.
Felician falls to 8-17 overall and 5-7 in the CACC this season.
The Lady Chargers earned a come from behind win in the opening set as they used an 11-2 run on their way to a 25-18 win.
Dominican took a 2-0 match lead after another 25-18 win as they finished off the second set on a 14-3 run.
The Lady Chargers finished off the sweep as they jumped in front early on the third set and didn't lose the lead on their way to a 25-19 win.
Elizabeth Perez scored a team-high 14 points on a team leading nine kills and five service aces. Alexandria De Iasi recorded eight kills and picked up seven digs.
Layla Shipley and Savannah Tody each finished with five kills. Leila Ortiz picked up two solo blocks while Haile Comeau led the way in digs with 17.
Kaeden Sanstead finished with a match-high 28 assists.
The Lady Chargers return to action on the road on Saturday when they visit the Rams of Thomas Jefferson University.
