LADY CHARGERS SPLIT SEASON SERIES WITH PURPLE KNIGHTS
Bridgeport, Conn. (10/21/25) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team fell to CACC north division opponent University of Bridgeport tonight by a score of 3-0 at the Harvey Hubbell Gymnasium.
The Lady Chargers and the Purple Knights split the season series as DU falls to 5-12 overall and 2-6 in conference play.
The Purple Knights swept the Lady Chargers after taking the first two sets by a score of 25-18 each. UB completed the sweep after a come from behind victory in the third set using a 10-4 run to close out the 25-23 win.
Elizabeth Perez recorded a team-high seven kills while also adding 10 digs. Savannah Tody and Alexandria De Iasi each had six kills. Tody also finished with three block assists while De Iasi picked up seven digs.
Tabitha Ojeda and Layla Shipley each added five kills each. Kaeden Sanstead recorded a team-high 27 assists while Haile Comeau led the way in digs with 15.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back this Saturday when they return home to host Georgian Court University on Coach Baxter Court at 12:00 PM.
