LADY CHARGERS UPEND COUGARS IN CACC ACTION
Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/15/25) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team rallied for a 3-1 victory over CACC north division rival Caldwell University on Coach Baxter Court.
The Lady Chargers fell in the opening set 25-16 but then won three straight sets to complete the victory.
Dominican improves to 5-10 overall and 2-4 in conference play while Caldwell falls to 0-16 overall and 0-7 in the CACC.
After falling in the opening set, the Lady Chargers took the second set after going on a 9-3 run to finish the set.
Dominican rolled in the third set earning a 25-12 win and then 25-11 win in the fourth to secure the match.
Alexandria De Iasi led the way with 14 kills while adding one service ace for 15 points and picked up seven digs.
Elizabeth Perez earned 10 kills and 12 digs while Savannah Tody led DU in points scored with 18.5 on 11 kills and a team-high seven service aces.
Kaeden Sanstead had a match-high 40 assists while Haile Comeau added a match-high 19 digs. Delaney Ott picked up 12 digs while Layla Shipley recorded eight kills.
DU returns to action this Saturday when they visit Holy Family University.
