Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/23/18) The Felician University women's volleyball team defeated the Dominican College Chargers, 3-1 (12-25, 25-21, 13-25, 11-25) this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division match played on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.

With the win Felician improves to 10-16 overall and 6-10 in the conference play, while Dominican falls to 3-21 overall and 3-13 in the CACC.

The Golden Falcons won the first set by the score of 25-12, while DC epended them in the second set 25-21.  Felician took the third and fourth sets by scores of 25-13 and 25-11 for the 3-1 match victory.

In the second set, Dominican jumped out to an 8-1 advantage and later used a kill from junior Deanna Knopf (Hauppauge, N.Y.) to extend the lead to 20-15.  Junior Mykalee Chambers (Bronx, N.Y.) recorded the set-winning kill off the pass from Knopf for the 25-21 win.

Knopf led the team with eight kills  and 14 digs, while recording a .148 attack percentage.

Malia Robinson (Jersey City, N.J.) had five kills and three block assists and Lily Ainsworth (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had a team high 10 assists.

Senior Natalia Perez (Prosper, Texas) recorded nine digs.

Dominican will host Goldey-Beacom College this coming Saturday in a CACC contest.  Match time is slated for 11:30am on Coach Baxter Court.
