COUGARS RALLY TO DEFEAT WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL
Caldwell, N.J. (10/8/14) The Caldwell University women's volleyball team rallied from a set one loss to win the next three and defeat the visiting Lady Chargers of Dominican College, 3-1, this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action at the George R. Newman Center.

With the loss, Dominican falls to 9-2 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
Caldwell opened the match with an early 8-3 lead, but Dominican rallied with an 8-0 run as junior Amanda Hallstein* (Holtsville, N.Y.) served for seven points to pull head 11-8. Later tied at 12-all, DC went on an 8-2 run to re-take a 20-14 advantage. Outside hitter McKenzie John (Lafayette, La.) ended the set with a kill, her sixth of the set for the 25-19 win.
The second set saw Caldwell with a slight 16-15 advantage and they scored the final nine out of 12 points for the 25-18 victory. The Cougars won the third frame by the same score and took the match with a 25-12 fourth set win.
John finished with a night best 17 kills and completed the double-double with 15 digs.
Kayla Dexter* (Selah, Wash.) had nine kills, while Kera Dexter (Selah, Wash.) had a team leading 20 assists.
Hallstein recorded the double-double of 19 assists and 12 digs.
Libero Angela Kim (Marlton, N.J.) had a team high 23 defensive digs, while Keely Fink (Lagrangeville, N.Y.) added 11 digs in the loss.
Dominican will host CACC North Division foe, Post University, this Friday night at the Hennessy Center.
