VOLLEYBALL STAYS HOT WITH VICTORY OVER CONCORDIA COLLEGE

Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/23/12) The Dominican College volleyball team improved to 19-7 overall and 15-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after defeating Concordia College, 3-1, this evening in a match played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center. The win also extends the Lady Chargers winning streak to 13 matches, a program record.

(10/23/12)  The Dominican College volleyball team improved to 19-9 overall and 15-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after defeating Concordia College, 3-1, this evening in a match played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.  The win also extends the Lady Chargers winning streak to 13 matches, a program record.

Dominican cruised to a 25-9 set one victory and jumped ahead 13-7 in the second set en route to a 25-18 win and 2-0 match lead.

The Clippers fought back in set three to claim a 25-13 win and force a fourth set.

DC responded and just like the first set, quickly built up a big lead (10-4) and went on to the 25-9 win and 3-1 match victory.

Freshman Tori Dexter (Selah, Wash.) paced the Lady Chargers with nine kills.

Kristen Loney* (Pine Bush, N.Y.) tallied eight kills, while Courtney Ranger (Ventura, Calif.) had seven kills.

Libero Jordyn Fuller* (Keller, Texas) had a team leading 14 digs, while setter Whitney Ranger* (Ventura, Calif.) had a match leading 37 assists.

The Lady Chargers travel to CACC North Division foe, Caldwell College, on Friday evening.
