LADY CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL DOWNS CHESTNUT HILL COLLEGE

Orangeburg, N.Y. (10/6/12) The Dominican College women's volleyball team downed Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Chestnut Hill College, 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-13) this afternoon in a match played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center. With the win, DC improves to 13-7 overall and remain undefeated in conference play with a record of 9-0.

(10/6/12)  The Dominican College women's volleyball team downed Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Chestnut Hill College, 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-13) this afternoon in a match played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.  With the win, DC improves to 13-7 overall and remain undefeated in conference play with a record of 9-0.

Dominican never trailed in the first set as they jumped out to a 7-2 lead and cruised to a 25-15 victory.  In the second set, the score was tied at 7-7 when the Lady Chargers went on a 10-3 scoring run to go ahead 17-10.  DC closed out the set with five consecutive points for the 25-15 win and 2-0 match lead.

The Lady Chargers completed the 3-0 victory with a 25-13 set three victory as they once again never trailed and led by as many as 10 points (21-11).

Senior outside hitter Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, N.Y.) led all attackers with 12 kills on the afternoon and completed the double-double with a match leading 15 defensive digs.

Setter Whitney Ranger* (Ventura, Calif.) had a match leading 34 assists and two service aces.

Libero Jordyn Fuller* (Keller, Texas) recorded 13 defensive digs, while CACC Rookie of the Week Tori Dexter (Selah, Wash.) finished with seven kills and 11 digs.

CACC Player of the Week Courtney Heard (Ventura, Calif.) had eight kills and Randi Garrett (Rockledge, Fla.) tallied seven kills.

DC is back in action Tuesday night as they travel to Nyack College.
