WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFEATED BY THE COLLEGE OF SAINT ROSE
Albany, NY (9/8/11) The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost a non-conference match to host, the College of Saint Rose, 3-0 (21-25, 23-25, 16-25) in a match played this evening at Nolan Gymnasium. With the loss both teams now stand at 2-2 on the season.

Sophomore right side hitter Randi Garrett (Rockledge, FL) and freshman middle hitter Kayla Dexter (Selah, WA) led the way for Lady Chargers. Garrett wound up with 10 kills and four blocks, while Dexter had eight kills and hit .333.
Libero Jordyn Fuller (Keller, TX) led all players tonight with 21 defensive digs, while setter Whitney Ranger (Ventura, CA) had a match leading 26 assists.
DC trailed 23-21 in set one, but Golden Knight kill and service ace sealed a 25-21 win. In a tight second set with the game being tied 22-alll, a Saint Rose kill and ace game them a two point lead. An attack error put Dominican a point within a point, but a kill gave the Golden Knights a 25-23 set win and put them up 2-0 in the match. This set up a 25-16 third set win and 3-0 match victory.
Dominican is back in action tomorrow night at the Yellow Jacket Invitation being hosted by American International College. The team will take on the host at 4pm and will face St. Mary's University (TX) at 8pm.
