WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS FELICIAN COLLEGE
Orangeburg, NY (10/1/09) The Dominican College women's volleyball team defeated Felician College, 3-1 (25-12, 23-25, 25-16, 25-14) this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
Orangeburg, NY (10/1/09) The Dominican College women's volleyball team defeated Felician College, 3-1 (25-12, 23-25, 25-16, 25-14) this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
Felician was led freshman Jenna Matesic (Paramus, NJ) who had a match leading 14 kills. Amber Doran (Little Ferry, NJ) added eight kills and setter Nicole Degenhardt (Secaucus, NJ) had 24 assists in the loss.
The Lady Chargers had two players in double figures in kills as CACC Rookie of the Week, Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, NY) led the team with 13 kills and freshman Courtney Heard (Ventura, CA) had 12 kills. Setter Whitney Ranger (Ventura, CA) had a match leading 38 assists, while libero Jordyn Fuller (Keller, TX) had nine defensive digs.
With the victory Dominican improves to 11-8 overall and 5-3 in the CACC, while Felician falls to 3-11 overall and 2-5 in the CACC.
Dominican is back in action next week when they travel to CACC rival, Nyack College. Game time is set for 7pm.
