WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL LOSE TO PACE UNIVERSITY

Pleasantville, NY (9/29/09) The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost a non-conference match to host Pace University, 3-0 (14-25, 12-25, 10-25) this evening.

Pleasantville, NY (9/29/09)  The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost a non-conference match to host Pace University, 3-0 (14-25, 12-25, 10-25) this evening.

Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week, Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, NY) and Courtney Heard (Ventura, CA) led the Lady Chargers with five kills a piece in the loss.

Freshman setter N'Jameh Philip (Monroe, NY) led the team with 17 assists, while Jordyn Fuller (Keller, TX) had a team leading eight defensive digs.

The kills leader for the Setters was freshman Susan Verdugo-Del Real (El Centro, CA) who totaled a match high nine kills on the night.  Shea Hansen (Mesa, AZ) contributed with a match high 25 assists and six service aces.

With the loss Dominican falls to 10-8 overall, while Pace improves to 7-5.

Dominican is back in action on Thursday when they host Felician College in a CACC match.  Game time is 7pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
