DOMINICAN VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS FELICIAN COLLEGE GOLDEN FALCONS, 3-1

Blauvelt, NY (9/20/07) The Dominican College Lady Chargers volleyball team defeated Felician College, 3-1 (30-24, 27-30, 30-26, 30-24) this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women’s volleyball action on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

Blauvelt, NY (9/20/07)       The Dominican College Lady Chargers volleyball team defeated Felician College, 3-1 (30-24, 27-30, 30-26, 30-24) this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women’s volleyball action on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
                                                                                                                
 Junior Kinikia Collier (Garnerville, NY) led all attackers with a season high 16 kills and 14 digs.  Theresa Hanneman (Pearl River, NY) added 12 kills and 14 digs, while freshman Yashani Smith (West Haverstraw, NY) had a career high 11 kills in the win.  Junior setter Kaitlin Earl (Greenville, NY) hadd 44 assists, while Antoinette Hackett (Pearl River, NY) led the team with 19 digs.
 

The Golden Falcons were led by junior middle hitter Laura Peskosky (Clifton, NJ) with 15 kills.  Keisha Milstrey (Bronx, NY) added 13 kills, while senior Dee Dee Smith (Monticello, NY) added 12 kills in the loss.  Setter Nicole Degenhardt (Secaucus, NJ) had 41 assists.
 

With the win, the Lady Chargers improve to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in the CACC, while Felician falls to 0-8 on the year and 0-2 in the CACC.

Dominican is back in action on Saturday, September 22nd when they travel to Chestnut Hill College in CACC women’s volleyball action.  Game time is 12pm.
