VALENTIK WINS SHOT PUT EVENT AT WEST POINT TUNE UP
West Point, N.Y. (2/21/26) The Dominican University New York women's track and field team took part in the West Point Tune Up Meet held today.
Veronica Valentik won the shot put event, while Tori Benson finished in third place.
The long jump event had Isaballa Mack take third place.
Results
- Veronica Valentik won the shot put event with a throw of 11.22m (36' 9.75"). Tori Benson finished in third place with a throw of 10.89m (35' 8.75").
- The long jump saw Isabella Mack take third place with a jump of 4.98m (16' 4.25"), while Genesis Jimenez finished in 10th place with a jump of 4.45m (14' 7.25").
- In the 800m run Sarai Cruz finished in seventh place with a time of 2:43.25.
- Valentik also competed in the 400m dash where she took seventh place with a time of 1:05.42. Anjalice Arias took 10th place with a time of 1:09.07.
- Cruz took 13th place in the mile run with a time of 6:08.43, while Rachel Reagan finished in 25th place with a time of 7:30.76.
- Junior Reagan ran in the 3000m run and took 15th place with a run of 15.24.84.
- Mack took 15th place in the 200m dash with a time of 28.69. Jimenez followed with a 16th place finish (28.76) and Gabrielle Brooks took 20th place (29.59).
- In the 60m prelims, Mack also had a 15th place finish with a time of 8.43. Jimenez finished in 21st place with a time of 8.67 and Brooks followed in 22nd place with a time of 8.73.
