LADY CHARGERS GO TO ALL-AMERICAN MEET

East Stroudsburg, Pa. (4/23/17)  The Dominican College women's track and field team traveled to the All-American Meet held yesterday and hosted by East Stroudsburg University.

Senior Emily Lopez (Staten Island, N.Y.) took 16th in the 3000m run with a time of 12:09.89.

The 4x100m relay team of Erica Pate (Bronx, N.Y.), Khadijah Cox (New Milford, N.J.), Ashley-Ann Courts (Riverhead, N.Y.) and Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in fifth place with a time of 51.64.

Freshman Kaitlynn Connor (Warwick, N.Y.) competed in the 1500m run with a time of 5:34.68 to finish in 14th place.

Kayla Adams (Englewood, N.J.) finished in tenth place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 18.34.

In the 400m dash, Pate ran a time of 1:05.43 to finish in 18th place.  Christina Burgos (Staten Island, N.Y.) took 20th place with a time of 1:05.67, while Kim Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) took 24th place with a time of 1:06.66.

Cox competed in the 100m dash where she finished in ninth place with a time of 12.72.  Jean-Pierre took 26th place with a time of 13.71, while Da-Naeya Rhodes (Union, N.J.) finished 30th with a time of 14.10.  Rookie Julianne Ramos (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) finished 41st with a time of 15.13.

Ina Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) competed in the 800m run where she finished in 33rd place with a time of 2:38.05.  Jessica Graci (Staten Island, N.Y.) took 39th place with a time of 2:43.62, while Jennifer Heller (Butler, N.J.) finished in 50th place with a time of 2:59.89.  Andrea Zuluaga (North Bergen, N.J.) ran a time of 3:21.19 to finish in 58th place.

Cox took 10th place in the 200m dash with a time of 26.49 and Courts had a time of 28.43 to finish in 21st place.  Pate finished in 24th place with a time of 28.62, while Rhodes took 39th place with a time of 32.22.

In the discus throw, Abigail Jacquet (Garnerville, N.Y.) finished in 16th place with a throw of 26.20m (85 feet, 11 inches).  Jacquet took 19th place in the shot put with a throw of 8.46m (27 feet, 9.25 inches).

Cox took part in the long jump where she took seventh place with a time of 4.74m (15 feet, 6.75 inches).  Courts finished in 13th place with a jump of 4.53m (14 feet, 10.50 inches).

Adams also took ninth place in the high jump with a jump of 1.48m (4 feet, 10.25 inches).
