LADY CHARGERS FINISH FOURTH AT ST. JOSEPH'S SPRING OPENER

Patchogue, N.Y. (3/26/17)  The Dominican College women's track and field team finished in fourth place at the St. Joseph's Spring Opener held at St. Joseph's College. 

As a team, the Lady Chargers compiled a team score of 46.

Senior Khadijah Cox (New Milford, N.J.) won the 100m dash with a time of 12.95.  Djazmina Jean-Pierre (Spring Valley, N.Y.) finished in ninth place with a time of 13.70.

Cox also won the 200m dash with a time of 26.67, while Jean-Pierre finished in 12th place with a time of 28.12.  Senior Andrea Zuluaga (North Bergen, N.J.) finised in 41st place with a time of 36.02.

Freshman Allison Moroney (Pearl River, N.Y.) ran the 400m dash in a time of 1:07.53 to take fourth place, while Erica Pate (Bronx, N.Y.) finished in sixth place with a time of 1:08.15.  Junior Kim Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) had a time of 1:09.85 to finish in eighth place.

Ina Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) took part in the 800m run and finished in fourth place with a time of 2:37.98.  Christina Burgos (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished in eighth place with a time of 2:52.05.  Sophomore Jennifer Heller (Butler, N.J.) took 10th place with a time of 2:57.85.

Kaitlynn Connor (Warwick, N.Y.) competed in the 1500m run where she finished eighth with a time of 5:38.61.

Sophomore Kayla Adams (Englewood, N.J.) finished in sixth place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 18.31.  Adams took part in the high jump where she took second place with a jump of 1.43m (4 feet, 8.3 inches)

The Lady Charger team of Moroney, Ashley-Ann Courts (Riverhead, N.Y.), Koeder and Emily Lopez (Staten Island, N.Y.) finished in second place in the 1,600m sprint medley event with a time of 4:54.10.
