WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD TRAVEL TO COACH OMELTCHENKO INVITATIONAL

Kings Point, N.Y. (4/17/16) The Dominican College WOmen's track team and field squad traveled to the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational held today at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Kings Point, N.Y. (4/17/16)  The Dominican College WOmen's track team and field squad traveled to the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational held today at the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Freshman Kayla Adams (Englewood, N.J.) took seventh place in the high jump with a jump of 1.45m (4 feet, 9 inches).  She also competed in the 100m hurdles and finished in 13th place with a time of 18.17.

The 4x100m relay team of Da-Naeya Rhodes (Union, N.J.), Erica Pate (Bronx, N.Y.), Adams and Khadijah Cox (New Milford, N.J.) took sixth place in the event with a time of 53:29.

Pate took 11th place in the 400m dash with a time of 1:05.77.  Teammate Christina Burgos (Staten Island, N.Y.) placed 12th with a time of 1:05.82.  Kim Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) finished in 16th place with a time of 1:07.59.

Jamie McGinn (Philadelphia, Pa.) took 10th place in the triple jump with a jump of 8.69m (28 feet, 6 1/4 inches).  Adams finished in 13th place with a jump of 7.54m (24 feet, 9 inches).

McGinn also took part in the long jump event where she took 17th place with a jump of 3.99m (13 feet, 1 1/4 inches).

Freshman thrower Abigail Jacquet (Garnerville, N.Y.) placed 17th in the shot put with a throw of 8.20m (26 feet, 11 inches).  She also competed in the discus throw and finished in 15th place with a throw of 23.45m (76 feet, 11 1/2 inches).

In the 1500m run, Jessica Graci (Staten Island, N.Y.) had a time of 5:28.69 to finish in 20th place.

Aniah Vincent-Dace (Albany, N.Y.) took 33rd place in the 100m dash with a time of 15.69.

Ina Koeder (Schwaebisch Hall, Germany) had the high finish of 27th place in the 800m run with a time of 2:37.68.  Burgos took 36th place with a time of 2:41.93 and Jennifer Heller (Butler, N.J.) had a time of 2:42.27 to finish in 37th place.  Andrea Zuluaga (North Bergen, N.J.) finished in 55th palce with a time of 3:01.50.

Rhodes took 23rd place inthe 200m dash with a time of 29.43, while Graci finished in 34th place with a time of 32.36.  Vincent-Dace had a time of 33.83 for a 37th place finish.

Junior Emily Lopez* (Staten Island, N.Y.) competed in the 5000m run and finished in eighth place with a time of 21:27.42.

The 4x400m relay squad of K. Koeder, Burgos, Pate and I. Koeder finished in ninth place with a time of 4:28.76.
