LADY CHARGERS FALL IN CONFERENCE ACTION TO WILDCATS
Monsey, N.Y. (9/30/25) The Dominican University New York women's tennis team fell in conference action to the Wildcats of Wilmington University this afternoon at Manny Welder Park in Monsey, N.Y.
The Lady Chargers fall to 1-4 overall and 1-4 in conference play. WILMU improves to 4-1 overall and 4-1 in the CACC.
The Lady Chargers lost the doubles point but the second pairing of Elizaveta Kisel and Angelina Amelkina won their match 6-3 bringing their record on the season to 3-1 as a pair.
Freshman Bryn Fitzmaurice battled with her opponent Gloria Barcaro in fifth singles. Barcaro and Fitzmaurice went back and forth in their first set all the way to a tie breaker which saw Bacaro get the edge 7-4 to take the opening set 7-6. Both sides battled again in the second set but it was Bacaro who came away with the 6-4 win in the second set set to win the point.
