2022-23 Dominican University New York Women’s Tennis Summary

 

In their fourth season of competition, the women’s tennis squad finished the fall with an overall record of 2-13 and an 0-10 record in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).  The team is scheduled to play two non-conference matches in the spring.

 

 

The Lady Chargers finished in sixth place in the conference under second-year head coach, Da’Tekena Barango Tariah.  

 

 

Rupkatha Mukherjee went 5-10 in singles action, while All-CACC Second Team honoree Bipasha Mehn went 4-7 in singles.

 

 

The doubles team of Mehn and Ava O’Brien went 2-7 in as a doubles team.

 

 

Freshman Vanya Tyagi was named CACC Rookie of the Week one time this season. Mukherjee and O’Brien were both named to the CACC All-Academic Team for the first time each.

 

 

Mukherjee and Mehn were each inducted into the Dominican University New York Sigma Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma.

 

 

The team is expected to return four players from this year’s roster.
