DEVILS UPEND LADY CHARGERS

Monsey, N.Y. (4/13/21) The Dominican College women's tennis team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action to the visiting Devils from the University of the Sciences, 5-2, in a match played at Manny Welder Park.

Monsey, N.Y. (4/13/21) The Dominican College women's tennis team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action to the visiting Devils from the University of the Sciences, 5-2, in a match played at Manny Welder Park.

The loss drops Dominican to 0-4 overall and 0-4 in conference play, while the University of the Sciences improves to 3-2 overall and 3-2 in the CACC.

Isha Mbaye (New Orleans, La.) went 2-0 in the match as she won her doubles match with Mariana Ling (Orlando, Fla.) by the score of 6-2 and then won her singles match by the scores of 6-2 and 6-3 to get DC on the scoreboard.

Freshman Steffy Espejo (Tunja, Colombia) earned the 6-2, 6-2 victory in the first singles spot for the other Dominican point.

The Devils picked up the doubles point by winning two of the three double matches and brining home victories in second singles, third singles, fifth singles and sixth singles.

Dominican is scheduled to return to action on Thursday when they travel to Chestnut Hill College.
