Monsey, N.Y. (10/12/19) The Dominican College women's tennis team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action to the visiting Griffins of Chestnut Hill College, 7-0, this afternoon in a match played at Manny Welder Park.
Dominican (3-8, 2-6 CACC) won one of the three double matches with Paula Gutierrez (Bogota, Columbia) and Kendra Saintel (Nanuet, N.Y.) picking up the 6-4 win.
In singles Isha Mbaye (New Orleans, La.) won the first set, 6-1 but fell in the next two by scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
Joana Ndunduma (Cedar Hill, Texas) also won the first set, 6-1, but fell in the next two, 6-4 and 7-6. The third set was decided in a tie-breaker by the score of 7-5.
The Lady Chargers are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they host Lewis Univeristy in a non-conference match.
