Lakewood, N.J. (10/25/25) The Dominican University New York women's soccer team fell in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action to host, Georgian Court University, 3-2, this afternoon in a game played at the GCU Track and Field Complex.
Following the loss, the Lady Chargers are now 4-8-3 overall and 3-5-1 in conference play.
GCU had an early 1-0 advantage, but Lady Charger Jesse Maraia made the score 1-1 with her first game goal in the 15th minute of action.
The Lions would score a goal before the end of the half to re-gain a 2-1 lead.
Maraia struck again at the 62:31 mark with her second game score and fifth goal of the season off the pass from Shelby Parks to re-tie the game, 2-2.
Georgian Court netted the game-winner with 1:51 left on the game clock for the 3-2 win.
Goalkeeper Stella Paton made six saves in the loss.
Dominican returns to action on Tuesday afternoon when they host non-conference opponent, Molloy University at 3:30pm on O'Brien Field.
