FIVE WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYERS NAMED TO 2022 CACC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

(12/8/22) Five members of the Dominican University New York women's soccer team were named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Academic Team as was announced yesterday by Commissioner Dan Mara. All 13 CACC schools that compete in the sport were represented on the All-Academic Team.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (12/8/22) Five members of the Dominican University New York women's soccer team were named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Academic Team as was announced yesterday by Commissioner Dan Mara. All 13 CACC schools that compete in the sport were represented on the All-Academic Team.
Jada Jiles (Windsor Locks, Conn.) makes her third appearance on the All-Academic Team, while Sabine Sorensen (Ballerup, Denmark), Isabella Wysocki (Rahway, N.J.), Brianna Mikucki (Coram, N.Y.) and Steller Koster (Saarbruecken, Germany) were all named to the All-Academic Team for the first time.
Each of the 13 schools had a minimum of five student-athletes make the list, while seven teams had double-digit honorees including CACC Champion University of Bridgeport (10), Caldwell University (16), Georgian Court University (13), Goldey-Beacom College (10), Holy Family University (13), Thomas Jefferson University (15), and Wilmington University (18).
NOTES ON ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
♦ Nine student-athletes posted perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point averages (Alliance University's Maren Wolfe & Megan Ybarra; UB's Angelina LoFranco; Chestnut Hill College's Madeline Jimenez; Felician University's Nicole Jenal; GCU's Emily Clayton & Madison Faulkner; and HFU's Ava Hooten & Jacqueline Ziegler).
♦ Thirty-seven (37) student-athletes notched GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
♦ Four student-athletes were placed on the academic team for the fourth time in their respective careers (Alliance's Linda Grimminger & Shanice Rapp; GCU's Brianna Hillis; and WilmU's Emily Navarette).
♦ Twenty-five (25) were named to the CACC Women's Soccer All-Academic Team for the third time in their respective careers.
♦ Twenty-four (24) were named to the unit for the second time in their respective careers.
♦ The eight teams to qualify for the CACC post-season tournament combined to have 82 honorees make the all-academic team.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must: a) Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of immediate preceding term (may include summer for fall sport participants); b) Minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) Student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution.
