McCARTHY NAMED CACC COACH OF THE YEAR; TWO PLAYERS EARN ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS

Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/9/21) Dominican College Head Women's Soccer Coach, Sean McCarthy, has been tabbed the 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Coach of the Year as was announced today by the conference office. Alyana Gonel and Danai Chimedza both earned All-Conference honors.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/9/21) Dominican College Head Women's Soccer Coach, Sean McCarthy, has been tabbed the 2021 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Coach of the Year as was announced today by the conference office. Alyana Gonel and Danai Chimedza both earned All-Conference honors.

McCarthy was tabbed as the league's coach of the year after guiding Dominican to a share of the CACC Regular Season Championship and the No. 1 seed in this week's tournament.

Gonel, a red-shirt freshman forward from Teaneck, N.J., earns her first All-CACC honors as she was named to the First Team.  She leads the team and ranks fourth in the CACC in goals, while sitting fifth in the conference and tied for the team lead in points.

Chimedza, a red-shirt sophonore from Atlanta, Ga., also earns her first All-CACC honors as she was named to the Second Team.  She has scored two goals and three assists for seven points this season.
