Jersey City, N.J. (3/27/21) The Dominican College women's soccer team dropped a conference game to Nyack College by a score of 1-0.
The Lady Chargers fall to 2-2-1 (2-2-1 CACC) on the season after the loss. With the win, the Warriors improve to 3-2-1 (3-2-1 CACC).
DC took 15 total shots in the game. Alyana Gonel (Teaneck, N.J.) led the team in shots with four and recorded three on goal. Abby Montera (New City, N.Y.) added shots.
Danai Chimedza (Dacula, Ga.), Victoria Bonner (Kings Park, N.Y.), and Ally Whittaker (New Milford, N.J.) each added two shots. Sarah Wood (Uniondale, N.Y.) and Megan Geary (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) recorded one shot each.
For the Warriors, Michelle Baum recorded five saves to help secure the shutout victory. Shanice Rapp scored the only goal of the game at 33:19 in the first half.
The score remained 1-0 in the second half and Nyack secured their third win of the season.
The Lady Chargers are scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday, March 30th when they host Chestnut Hill College at 2:00 PM.
