The Lady Chargers now hold a record of 1-1-1 (1-1-1 CACC) on the season. With the win, the Tigers improve to 1-0-1 (1-0-1 CACC).
The Tigers took nine shots in the game and five of them were recorded on goal. DC took 13 shots and recorded six on goal.
Alayna Gonel (Teaneck, N.J.) and Sarah Wood (Uniondale, N.Y.) led DC with three shots each. Abby Montera (New City, N.Y.) scored a goal for the Lady Chargers and Ally Whittaker (New Milford, N.J.) earned the assist.
Kait Findlay led the way for the Tigers by scoring both goals. Findlay took a team-high five shots and recorded four on goal. Gianna Monaco recorded an assist in the win.
Brianna Pudlo started in goal for Holy Family and recorded five saves to help secure the win.
Both teams played to a scoreless tie in the first half and each recorded four shots. The Tigers broke the scoreless tie when Kait Findlay scored at the 48:30 mark.
The Tigers extended their lead to 2-0 when Findlay scored her second of the game at 66:41.
With less than ten minutes to play, Abby Montera cut the lead in half and put DC on the board, but the Tigers were able to hold on and close out the win.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back on Tuesday, March 23rd when they host Georgian Court University at 2:00 PM.
