WOMEN'S SOCCER TOPS GOLDEY-BEACOM COLLEGE
Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/22/12) The Dominican College women's soccer team rallied from a 1-0 deficit by scoring two goals in the second half to defeat the visiting Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College, 2-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on the DC Soccer Field. With the win, Dominican improves to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play.

GBC scored the lone goal in the first half in the 20th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
Junior forward Melissa Messina (Hillsdale, N.J.) netted her second goal of the season at the 63:57 mark on a shot from eight yards out after a pass from Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, N.Y.) to tie the game at 1-1.
The game-winner was scored in the 75th minute of action as midfielder Danielle Klecha (Jamesburg, N.J.) scored her first goal on the year off the assist from Messina on a shot 10 yards out for the 2-1 win.
Goalie Veronicca Iozzi (Chester, N.J.) had four saves in the victory.
Dominican out shot Goldey-Beacom, 15-9 and held a slight 5-4 advantage in corner kicks.
DC returns to action on Tuesday as they travel to Felician College in a CACC contest.
