ANTONOPOULOS LEADS WOMEN'S SOCCER OVER ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE

(9/19/12) Junior forward Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, N.Y.) recorded a hat trick this afternoon in leading the Lady Chargers to a 4-2 victory over the visiting Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College this afternoon in a game played at the DC Soccer Field. With the victory, Dominican improves to 2-4 on the season.

With the victory, Dominican improves to 2-4 on the season.
Antonopoulos recorded the first three goals of the contest to give the Lady Chargers a 3-0 lead. Her first goal came in the 15th minute on a shot from 10 yards out off the assist from Mackenzie Riley (Zanesville, Ohio).
Her second goal came in the 49th minute of action on a head shot off the pass from junior Danielle Klecha (Jamesburg, N.J.).
The hat trick and her team leading sixth goal of the season was scored on a penalty kick at the 58:03 mark.
Dominican continued on the scoring run with their fourth goal as freshman forward Elisa Falzarano (Roslyn Heights, N.Y.) recorded her first collegiate goal after the corner kick pass from Nicolle Sanchez (Lyndhurst, N.J.) in the 68th minute for the 4-2 lead.
The Spartans scored the final two goals of the game for the final 4-2 score.
Goalie Veronica Iozzi (Chester, N.J.) made three saves in the victory.
DC outshot STAC 12-8, while the Spartans had a 6-5 advantage in corner kicks.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Saturday when they host Goldey-Beacom College at 12:30 pm at the DC Soccer Field.
