(9/11/12) The Dominican College women's soccer team exploded for five goals this afternoon in a 5-1 victory over Post University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at LaMoy Field. With the victory, Dominican improves to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while the Eagles fall to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the CACC.

(9/11/12) The Dominican College women's soccer team exploded for five goals this afternoon in a 5-1 victory over Post University in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at LaMoy Field. With the victory, Dominican improves to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play, while the Eagles fall to 0-5 overall and 0-3 in the CACC.
The Eagles took an early 1-0 lead in the sixth minute of the contest, but the Lady Chargers tied the game in the 22nd minute on a penalty kick off the foot of junior midfielder Danielle Romano (Plainview, N.Y.).
Five minutes later an own goal gave DC a 2-0 lead and senior Jade Fletcher* (Ottawa, Canada) tallied her first goal of the year at 33:27 to give Dominican a 3-1 lead.
Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, N.Y.) recorded her third goal of the season in the 51st minute and forward Melissa Messina (Hillsdale, N.J.) closed out the scoring with a goal off the assist from Danielle Klecha (Jamesburg, N.J.) for the 5-1 victory.
Goalie Veronica Iozzi (Chester, N.J.) made three saves in the win.
The Lady Chargers outshot the Eagles, 21-10, but the Eagles had a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.
DC returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Georgian Court University.
