Jacksonville, Fla. (3/5/26) The Dominican University New York women's lacrosse team wrapped up their road trip with a loss to Lynn University this afternoon.
The Lady Chargers, #17 in the IWLCA coaches poll, fall to 2-3 overall on the season after the loss. The Fighting Knights, #8 in the IWLCA coaches poll, improve to 4-1 after the win.
Goalkeeper Daniela Parisi made six saves but suffered the loss. Fighting Knights goalkeeper Ava Ceglia picked up the win and made nine saves.
The Fighting Knights opened the game with five unanswered goals before Madelyn Grella scored her first goal at the end of the opening quarter.
The Fighting Knights scored three goals in the second and five in the third. Grella scored her second goal in the third while Alexa Preston also scored in the third.
The Fighting Knights solidified the win win four goals in the fourth.
Grella picked up an assist on the Preston goal. Jenna Rigo and Payton LaVallee each added three groundballs while Rigo caused two turnovers.
LaValle, Leila Paz, and Kate Frae each recorded two draw controls.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Tuesday, March 17th when they host St. Michale's College for their home opener.
