WOMEN'S LACROSSE TO MAKE FIRST EVER NCAA EAST REGIONAL TOURNAMENT APPEARANCE

Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/4/25) The Dominican University New York women's lacrosse team have earned the third seed in the East Regional of the 2025 NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse Tournament and will take on #6 Molloy University.

Dominican, who was ranked third in the last regional rankings, won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championship this afternoon to earn the conference's automatic bid. Six bids were awarded in the region with champions from CACC (Dominican), ECC (Molloy) and Northeast-10 (Adelphi) capturing automatic selections and the others awarded on an at-large basis.

The Lady Chargers will be making the program's first ever appearance in the East Regional Tournament. Dominican won their third-straight CACC Championship earlier today with a 19-10 victory over the second-seeded Rams of Thomas Jefferson University. The win extended their winning streak to 17 straight games. This season DUNY is averaging 18.26 goals per game.

The top seed, Adelphi University, will host the first-round contest of #4 University of New Haven vs #5 St. Anselm, and will take on the winner on Saturday afternoon.

Pace University, the second seed, will host the first-round contest of #3 Dominican University New York vs #6 Molloy University, and will face the winner on Saturday afternoon.
