#24 WOMEN'S LACROSSE CHARGE PAST SAINTS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/17/25) The #24 Dominican University New York women's lacrosse team topped the visiting Saints of D'Youville University, 22-5, this afternoon in a non-conference game at O'Brien Field.
With the win the Lady Chargers improve to 14-1 on the season.
The Saints opened the game with the first score on a free position attempt before Dominican went on a 7-1 run to make the score 7-2 at the end of 15 minutes of play.
Dominican began the second quarter with four straight scores and added another three to increase their advantage to 14-3 at the intermission.
The third quarter saw DUNY tally three scores and they followed with five goals in the fourth for the 22-5 final.
Attacker Grace DeStasio led all scorers and tied her season high with eight goals.
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Co-Player of the week, Madelyn Grella, recorded six goals and six assists for 12 game points, while Caitlin Costello dished out four assists.
Erica Ortiz scored three goals and one assist with freshman Madison Mileti scoring two goals and one assist.
Josie Lettieri, Jordana Tomasetti and Ellie Brouwer had the other Lady Chargers goals in the win.
Starting keeper Kristinamarie Kaszovitz made four saves in 45 minutes of action, while Emma Crater came in for the fourth quarter and had one save.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to CACC foe, Post University.
