Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/26/22) Dominican College's Kristinamarie Kaszovitz, Grace DeStasio and Roberto Grella earned major awards as the 2022 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Lacrosse Teams and Awards were announced by Commissioner Dan Mara.

Kaszovitz was named the CACC Goalkeeper of the Year, along with earning First Team accolades.  DeStasio earned the conference's Rookie of the Year honors, along with First Team Honors and Grella was named the Coach of the Year.

Joining Kaszovitz and DeStasio on the First Team were teammates; Caitlin Costello and Erica Ortiz.

Sydney Strohmayer, Erin Carr and Jordana Tomasetti received Second Team accolades.

Kaszovitz, a red-shirt freshman from Hicksville, N.Y., ranks second in the CACC with an 8.74 goals against average. She tops the CACC with 11 wins and ranks second with a 48.8 percent save percentage.

DeStasio, who hails from West Hempstead, N.Y., has had a sensational debut season at the collegiate level. She ranks fourth in the CACC in goals (56) and points (74). Her 18 helpers is the eighth-best mark in the CACC.

Grella was tabbed as the league's top coach for guiding Dominican to a 12-4 overall record and a 7-2 mark in conference play during the regular season. The Chargers enter this week's CACC Championship as the third seed, as they did not compete last spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A red-shirt freshman from Seaford, N.Y., Costello ranks second in the conference and leads the team in assists (46).  She sits fifth in the CACC in points (72) and 12th in draw controls.

Ortiz, a freshman Slate Hill, N.Y. is fourth in the CACC in ground balls (38), seventh in draw controls (73), eighth in caused turnovers (21), ninth in assists (20) and 15th in points (54).

Midfielder Strohmayer is 11th in the conference in goals (41) and third on the team. 

Carr, a freshman defender from Wall, N.J., ranks second in the CACC in ground balls (41), 12th in caused turnovers (19) and 20th in draw controls (46).

A freshman midfielder from Middletown, N.J., Tomasetti sits fourth in the conference in goals (57), seventh in free-posistion shots-goals (12-23) and eighth in points (62).
