LADY CHARGERS TAKE SECOND, O'MALLEY PLACES THIRD AT BUD WHITMAN MEMORIAL TO OPEN SEASON
Deptford, N.J. (10/11/25) The Dominican University New York women's bowling team opened the 2025-2026 campaign by finishing in second place in the team standings at the Bud Whitman Memorial.
The Lady Chargers went 4-1 overall after earning wins over Felician University, Wilmington University, Coppin State University, and Caldwell University. Dominican fell to Kutztown University in their fourth match of the day.
Dominican posted team scores of 949-894-770-959 in their four victories and an 821 in the loss to Kutztown. Dominican finished the traditional round with a total pinfall of 4,393.
The Lady Chargers had two top 10 finishes in the individual standings. Sophomore Stephanie O'Malley finished in third place with a total pinfall of 955 only 32 pins off the lead. O'Malley rolled a team-high 240 game in game two and finished the day with an average of 191.
Sophomore Kyra Walter finished in 10th place after bookending two 222 games, one in the opening match and then another in the final match. Walter finished with a total pinfall of 911 and averaged 182.20.
Freshman Jenna Jump finished in 18th place with a total pinfall of 866 and an average of 173.20 while Angelina Tati took 21st place and Caroline Dillon took 26th place.
The Lady Chargers are back in action next weekend for the NJ Open at Bowler City in Hackensack, N.J. hosted by FDU.
