Orangeburg, N.Y. (5/15/25) Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Commissioner Dan Mara recently released the 2024-25 CACC Women's Bowling All-Academic Team. The team consists of 20 student-athletes representing all six conference institutions which sponsor the sport.
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 at the end of the immediately preceding term, must be enrolled for at least two full-time semesters at his/her current institution, and must be a second-year student-athlete at his/her current institution. The CACC All-Academic Team was instituted during the 2004-05 academic year.
Chestnut Hill College led the league by placing five bowlers on the All-Academic Team. Felician University, the 2024-25 CACC champion, and conference runner-up Caldwell University claimed four honorees apiece.
Among the student-athletes recognized were three who maintain a GPA of 3.90 or higher. Dominican University New York's Briana Sinnot topped awardees with a 3.98 figure, followed by Caldwell's Lauren Marks (3.95) and Chestnut Hill's Virginia Perry (3.93).
Joining Sinnot on the team from the Lady Chargers is also Justine O'Connor, who makes her first appearance on the team.
Five of the 2024-25 honorees are repeat winners. That group includes Felician's Ashley Ferrara and Marks who are being honored for the third occasion. Brigidmarie Ferreira of Holy Family University, Sydney Jones of Wilmington University and Madison Lacey of Caldwell are second-time winners.
The 20 CACC All-Academic Women's Bowling honorees are 11 more than the amount on the 2023-24 team. The complete list can be viewed by clicking the link above.
