RUTTY SCORES CAREER HIGH AS LADY CHARGERS FALL TO EAGLES
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/25/26) The Dominican University New York women's basketball team closed out their home schedule with a conference loss to the Eagles of Post University.
The Lady Chargers fall to 6-21 overall and 4-15 in the CACC after the loss. The Eagles sweep the season series over DU and improve to 13-12 overall and 10-9 in conference play.
The Eagles held a seven point lead at halftime and used a big third quarter where they outscored the Lady Chargers 23-9 to extend their lead to double digits.
The Eagles continued to build their lead in the fourth quarter on their way to the 69-46 win.
The Lady Chargers were led by freshman Ketura Rutty who finished the game with a career high 26 points on 11-18 from the floor and added four points from the charity stripe. Rutty started the game off strong scoring 12 points in the first quarter. Rutty also picked up a game-high 12 rebounds as she recorded her fifth double-double on the season.
Isabella Javier finished the game with seven points while Tamia Nunes dished out a team-high five assists and added four steals also a team-high.
The Lady Chargers return to action on Saturday afternoon when they visit Wilmington University in the season finale.
