COUGARS SWEEP SEASON SERIES OVER LADY CHARGERS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (2/3/26) The Dominican University New York women's basketball team fell in CACC action to the Cougars of Caldwell University on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
The Cougars sweep the season series over the Lady Chargers and improve to 16-6, 9-5 in the CACC. Dominican falls to 5-16 overall and 3-10 in conference play.
The Cougars held a 14-6 lead over DU after the first quarter of play before extending to a double digit lead by halftime. CU extended to their largest lead of the game by the end of the fourth quarter on their way to the 74-47 victory.
The Lady Chargers were led by Brianna Pope who scored a team-high 12 points while adding three boards. Isabella Javier finished with 11 points and added two boards and one assist.
Sky Priester scored eight points while dishing out a team-high five assists. Tamia Nunes pulled down a team-high eight boards and scored six points while Ketura Rutty added six boards.
The Cougars were led by Lucy Coogan who finished with a game-high 26 points and recorded seven rebounds. Jah'Nel Lewis added 17 points and six boards.
The Lady Chargers return to action this Saturday when they host Chestnut Hill College.
